I am a woman in my fifties who ventured into the world of vocal lessons with Dana. My decision to pursue these lessons was fueled by a desire to enhance my confidence in the way I walk in this world, to improve the tone of my voice and to truly embody the emotional essence of the songs I sing. Since November 2023, Dana has been my guiding light on this musical journey of self-love. Dana has an innate ability to create an environment that fosters confidence, trust, and self-awareness. Miss Dana is so much fun to work with. I love her personality and feel her joy and passion everytime I attend the masterclasses. She lets me be myself which gives me a boost of confidence in singing. I've been noticing my voice improving and Miss Dana makes all the masterclasses really fun. She's not strict like many other teachers and has a unique way of teaching. I just love her so much .
Also, I love attending my piano classes with Miss Shaylyn. She's so energetic despite all the other classes she teaches in a day. She’s amazing.

What can I say about Dana and her studio? I loved her since day one when Ava and I went for an assessment if Ava was fit for her classes she offered. She was so vibrant and welcoming. The way she was interested to get to know Ava said that she cares about her students a lot. She wanted to learn about Ava's personality, interests and why she was there.
She makes sure to celebrate every accomplishment Ava makes little or big. Ava goes to her class with a big smile on her face. She introduced Ava into singing, a side of her I would have never known otherwise.
So thank you Miss Dana, for being such an amazing mentor. Ava is so lucky to have you as her teacher and friend. 5 stars of course!!

"Starting classes with Dana has not only allow me to develop my voice, but my confidence. Developing proper breathing techniques while working vocal scales and working to control my vibrato have allowed me to better express myself with my voice. Dana is a lovely individual who works with you to develop skills while also keeping a level of individuality. Over the span of just four months, I have seen great improvements on my voice, especially my breathing. I love working on songs and feeling comfortable to add my own spin on it without being confined to a preset box. ” Dana is absolutely incredible! In my Grade 11 and 12 years I was in the International Baccalaureate Standard Learning Music class at my school, Strathcona Tweedsmuir and one of the requirements is to complete a recital on any instrument. I chose to sing! I knew it was going to be a challenge preparing for the performance as I had to choose different genres and time periods but I was lucky enough to find Dana two months before our performance date who whipped me into shape for the big night! She taught me so much about my voice and has made me so much stronger and more confident.
There is no way I would have been able to pull this off without her! I enrolled my 7-year-old and 9-year-old daughters in voice and piano lessons with Miss Dana in May 2021, and for the past 6 months, she has transformed the way my girls view piano and singing. Miss Dana is the kind of teacher who understands each child’s learning style and is able to develop and implement strategies that guarantee success and fun. “My son has been taking piano lessons since he was 3 years old, he is now 9. He did his first year at a studio and seemed to like it, but he didn’t really seem to be progressing or as interested in it as we expected. We switched after about a year to private lessons with Dana and the results were unbelievable! He was learning at a much more rapid rate, and seemed much more engaged in music and excited for the next lesson. His lessons went from 30min to 45 min and eventually to a full hour. He now has also started voice lessons with her in the last year as well. Dana is very passionate about music and passes that appreciation onto her students. She has a way that engages her students to want to progress and play more, but in a fun, upbeat environment. She connects with children well, on a level that gets them excited to learn and go to their lessons. Vance loves Dana as a piano and voice teacher, and has grown so much as a student since starting with her. I have been attending this studio since January, it has been nothing but a joy. Singing has been a long time passion of mine that I’ve always wanted to peruse, it was just a matter of finding the right studio for me. This has ever since been my comfort place, it gives me a sense of home and joy! Everyone here is absolutely super sweet, they all make everything comfortable and actually go through each lesson thoroughly. My expectations were exceeded when joking this studio, I view it as a community where I’m able to be myself and find my own unique voice!! Right around the time I started, I was informed by neurologists that I would be needing surgery to treat my disorder, epilepsy. Being this age and having to cope through that all, it felt as if I had lost control, as if I lost my inner voice. With this studio, it helped me find that missing spark, and now I’m here standing taller than ever! The positive encouragement from Dana’s community is like no other, I am forever thankful for all that they have offered me. The bonds you build here will NEVER be forgotten, it’s like a bundle of constant support! Just an absolute positive space for all ages! Dana is an absolutely amazing voice coach. She has been instructing my son for over 2 years now and I’ve noticed significant improvements in his voice since starting. She has worked with him each week to focus on his strengths and to understand his changing voice which has helped him build his confidence. She always teaches in a positive manner and she is fantastic at keeping him engaged by finding music he loves to sing and fits his vocal range. She was referred to us by a friend who has a son taking lessons, and the two boys love it when they get overlapping sessions so they can sing together for a bit. “I have ALWAYS loved singing and performing. This past summer my voice changed DRAMATICALLY and I was panicked I had lost my gift and something I loved so much. I was also panicked about an upcoming audition and couldn’t figure out how I was going to sing the songs. In less than a month of working with Dana, she was able to help me go from not sing the right notes, to nailing the auditions and getting the lead role I really wanted. She taught me exercises and techniques that strengthen my voice. When I thought I was losing my vocal range, she helped me find it and even expand it.
